My name is Krystal Schouten. I am the Owner and Trainer of FamilyLife Fitness. FamilyLife Fitness was inspired by my two boys Henry and William. Fitness has always been a part of my life and I wanted to share my love of fitness with them. I also wanted to make it my mission to inform women about their bodies in pregnancy, postpartum and beyond….I am doing it! My approach to fitness is different than what most are used to or have seen in the past. I focus on safe, progressive, result oriented classes and training.
My passion and expertise is Women’s Health and Fitness. I work with women who are tired and frustrated and are ready to commit to themselves. I specialize in prenatal, postpartum fitness and pelvic floor health. I always say, once postpartum always postpartum. No matter what your age, understanding and being aware of your body will benefit your health and well-being.

What is core breath? In a proper functioning core the breath is key. Learn how to better connect with your core in all exercises with core breath. I incorporate core breath into all my classes. Knowledge is power, I educate my class/clients of the importance of core breath and teach them about the core 4. I make it a point to inform my clients that after pregnancy we need to retrain our core (not go out and buy the AB 3000 DVD). The Bellies Inc. Core Confidence Course gave me the confidence to teach my pre and post natal clients to exercise safely and understand their changing bodies in pregnancy and beyond.
